The hotel was decorated beautifully for the Christmas season. The room was nicely decorated and furnished. The bar and the bartenders were quite good. I thought dinner was kind of pricey but breakfast was very good. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. I really can't commend them highly enough.

We had reservations for brunch for 3 people for 12:45 on Nov 6. Service was extremely slow and food was mediocre. We ordered 2 hot coffee drinks to start and waiting 15 minutes. Waiter said that the bartender (coffee maker) had disappeared and he wasn't sure where she went. When we finally got our coffee drinks, we had to ask for spoons and find our own sugar from another table. Another long wait to get our bread board, and then another long wait to get our entrees. When I got my order of Shakshouka, I mentioned that one of the poached eggs was hardly cooked - White was still runny and not yet even white. Waiter apologize, but did not offer to remedy the meal. The side of bacon was inedible as if it was cooked in the morning and sitting and drying out till our order. Waiter was very nonchalant about our concerns and we reflected that in our tip. Disappointing meal.

The terrace and castle were amazing. Loved the room and how beautiful the castle was. Storm was very friendly and a great first impression.

The Kentucky Castle is a very nice place to stay. My husband and I stayed there on our 25th wedding anniversary, which was given to us as a gift! We enjoyed all the character and beauty of the property. We got to stay in a tower suite which was phenomenal. We hope to visit again some day.

The Castle sat empty for about 30 years. It was finished and renovated almost 20 years ago. Returning to Versailles I knew it was someplace I wanted to visit. It was so beautiful inside. The dining rooms and bar were full of people enjoying themselves. The grounds were being prepared for a wedding. Our tour guide was enthusiastic about sharing the details of the property.

Staff were very friendly and respectful. We stayed in the Castle itself. The room was spacious and comfortable. Restaurant was pricey but the food was excellent. Expect to be there at least 1.5 hours, which we like when fine dining.

I spent two nights at TKC as part of a group bicycling trip. I am giving the review two stars because we had a very good dinner in the hotel restaurant, and our waiter could not have been more professional and friendly. However the hotel experience is a one star review. There are three first floor rooms, 101, 102, and 103. They are adjacent to the lobby and to the kitchen. They are NOISY. The sound proofing is terrible and you can hear voices from the lobby, and worse, you can hear all of the kitchen noise. I heard the kitchen workers talking, whistling, singing and clanging pots and pans until 11pm at night, and it all started up again at 6:30 am. I went out twice and asked the front desk to ask them to be quiet at night, but nothing changed. I slept horribly and was very tired both days that we were there. I asked for a different room but was told that because there are only 18 rooms, they were full and could not move me. Additionally, the room was not clean. The bathroom had a dirty band aid on the floor (see photo) and the bathtub grout was moldy. There was a large insect in my bathtub and small fruit flies in the sink. During the day I ran back to the room to get a jacket and the housekeeper was there and said she was finished. The bed was not made and I asked if she was going to make it. She told me that the hotel policy is that they do not make beds if the guest has left any clothing on the bed. I had left the hotel bathrobe and my pajamas on the bed, which apparently deemed it unmakable. I removed them and she then made the bed. There was one very tiny window that looks out onto the parking lot. A car parked in front of the window and my view was of that car's windshield. Headlights shine into the room at night. The breakfast experience at the restaurant was not good. On our second day. our very nice waitress informed us (at 7:30 am) that there was no milk or cream in the kitchen and that someone was going to run to the store to buy some. So we waited 20 minutes for cream for the coffee. I went back to the room to get the little creamers in the room which then prompted the restaurant to find a large box of those for us to use. Additionally, breakfast was very slow and generally took about 30 minutes for food to arrive at the table. They were clearly overwhelmed by having 20 people at once, which should not have been a surprise to them since they frequently house cyclists during the week. Many in our group had issues with significant leaks in the roof during a hard rain storm. One woman slipped on water on her floor, and another had water leak into her open suitcase. Another guest's air conditioner made a noise like a jet engine, which was not fixed during the stay. Unfortunately despite the image of an upscale hotel experience, the reality is anything but that.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Ky. Castle. We had brunch which the food was so amazing! Compliments to the chef!! The room 206 was so quaint and super nice and bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We had a spa experience that I almost fell fell asleep several times during my facial scalp/shoulder massage. fell asleep several times during my facial. My hubby had the full TKC body massage and both agreed it was an out of this world experience!!!!
